This grave marker, which is at Hackensack Cemetery, located at 289 Hackensack Avenue Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that William Andre Jr. served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class with the Supply Company of the 309th Infantry 78th Division during World War I and died on March 18, 1970 at the age of 75. 

William Andre Jr. was not on the October 5, 1918 Honor Roll List, which was in the Evening Record newspaper, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.
